PROGRAM DELIVERY MECHANISM
The courses will be delivered on line and for a limited number of students, a blended training model is available and classes will be held in in the Industry Collaborative Apprenticeship Training Center (ICATC) of NAITA in Orugodawatte coupled with satellite centers island wide.

BACKGROUND

ICT industry targets a foreign revenue of US$ 3Bn by 2024 and requires skilled workforce in order to achieve the same. However, the industry is facing difficulties in meeting these targets due lack of competent personal to match the requirements.

In this context, it is important to develop a talent group with in par with the changing technology and industry needs.

To solve this issue, State Ministry of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and innovation has joined hands with the leading ICT Industry Associations led by ICT Industry Skills Council (ICTISC) to undertake this task by offering Industry demand training programs to the Sri Lankan youth.

Hence, a focused fast track program is needed to address the above issue. Industry collaborative approach is required to reduce the competency gaps in the present training programs and also introduce new appropriate courses.
